[Manufacturing] Who is the top USA manufacturer of wireless radio systems for the audience response / audience voting / interactive meeting industry?

Fleetwood is.

You see, the market-at-large consists of several segments. The most active segments include (not in any specific order) conventions/congresses, delegate/shareholder/stakeholder voting, strategic/scenario planning and decision making, market(ing) research and focus groups, continuing medical education, pharmaceutical sales training, interactive seminars and professional speaking, employee surveys and assessments, traditional classroom learning and distance education, and game shows.

Fleetwood-manufactured products own the top position in market share in most of these segments because of the varied systems we build, their proven performance and reliability, and the scores of commercial software solutions that our value added partners have developed for use with our hardware. One exception is the education market....but that is changing.

Right now, education is the largest volume market segment. It is also the fastest growing segment, mainly because of recent acceptance of interactive teaching methods by institutions of higher learning. Until recently, the education market was inhabited by a host of low cost infrared (IR) systems. Today, higher education customers -- colleges, universities, trade schools -- routinely place wireless radio frequency (RF) audience response systems in larger rooms/auditoriums because of RF's tremendous performance advantages over IR.

And now that group response is an accepted learning pedagogy, educators' needs are evolving. They are increasingly demanding more features in their student response systems. Our ReplyŽ brand and OEM RF systems (such as the CPS RF systems we manufacture for eInstruction Corp.) already have features and performance characteristics that satisfy these new needs. While much IR is indeed in this market segment, it is predominately in the hands of kids and most often being used for low risk applications. High risk applications tend to favor RF.

It's industry knowledge that ReplyŽ is recognized as the best wireless technology for use in audience response, electronic voting, and interactive meeting applications. And with the introduction of three low cost RF keypads in the past year, Fleetwood has been busy establishing its technology presence in the price-sensitive education market as well. Through an OEM relationship with the leading IR manufacturer for education (eInstruction Corp.), Fleetwood has become a significant part of eInstruction's majority position in education sales. It may not say ReplyŽ on the outside of a CPS RF keypad, but it's ReplyŽ inside.

Today, Fleetwood remains well-positioned to deliver RF solutions to each and every market. And with over 3 MILLION ReplyŽ technology-based RF keypads already sold worldwide, we're hitting our stride as this market is just starting to take off. By virtue of our OEM relationships and reseller partnerships, we expect to remain the USA's top manufacturer of wireless RF audience response systems.
